‘Solar Eclipse’ to vie at Grenoble filmfest

Iranian short flick ‘Solar Eclipse’ has made its way to the Short Film Festival of Grenoble in France.

Co-directed by Raha Amir-Fazli and Alireza Qasemi, the film will be screened at the 44th edition of the event.

‘Solar Eclipse’ will be Iran’s only representative at the main competition section of the French festival.

The short film’s synopsis reads, “Just a short time before solar eclipse, Saqi’s life goes through changes”.

The cast list of the short flick includes Khorshid Cheraghipour, Paniz Esmaeeli, Anita Baqeri, Faraz Modiri, and Peyman Naeemi.

The short flick has competed at the 30th Cote Court film festival in France.

The Outdoor Short Film Festival of Grenoble is the oldest short film festival in France.

Every year at the beginning of July, 8,000 people come to watch the best short films of the year.

This year’s edition of the festival is scheduled for June 30- July 4, 2021.
